We want to focus on showcasing our latest technology machineries at Milan,” said Managing Director G Radhakrishnan.

Display at ITMA

“We are going to display our platinum core machine. Apart from this, visitors can take a look at our Robo packing machine, which has already become popular in several parts of the world. Then we have our smart feeder, which is suitable for feeding automatic coners. Plus, of course, our Optic spindle monitoring system will also be on display at the event,” Radhakrishnan said. According to him, in the company’s overall business revenue exports constitute 75% while the rest 25% comes from the domestic market. He further added that the company’s key export markets include Bangladesh, Chile and Indonesia, where it has sold several machines.

“One of the reasons we are participating in ITMA is to expand our global footprint. We feel there is good potential in emerging markets such as Argentina and Nigeria from where we have already got a good number of inquiries. We are hopeful of making further headways on this front during the event,” he said. When queried on the company’s initiatives on the automation and digitisation front, Radhakrishnan replied, “We have already been working on Industry 4.0 and IoT. In fact, we are already using IoT to operate our machines remotely. Similarly, talking about automation, our packing robot is a good example of a product on those lines.”

Advantage Skaat

Highlighting the key reasons which make the company’s products and solutions stand out from its peers, Radhakrishnan said, “Our products are entirely different and they are compatible with the existing machinery. In order to do that we offer customised equipment. So, there is no question of competing with others. We also have the right technology, automation and know-how about textile machinery. Then there is the strong aftermarket service support. We have a team of 22 experienced service engineers.”

“Globally too we have lot of agents. We offer online spares. We have a special app for customers so that in case of any problem they can upload photos or videos. This enables our team to attend to it immediately. We also offer remote trouble-shooting wherever possible. This is another area of strength for us,” he added. The company is all set to welcome visitors to its “home” at ITMA. “Yes, for textile machinery manufacturers like us, ITMA is like home.
