Pentek Textile Machinery (PTM) is considered a leading manufacturer of equipment in the textile finishing domain, globally. The company has seen steady growth in the Indian market, where it has had a presence since the early 2000s. PTM is looking forward to participating in the forthcoming India ITME 2022 trade show. The company’s International Business Developer Maurizio Cablini, during an interaction, said that the year 2022 has been satisfying despite the various international problems such as limping back to normalcy after the pandemic, start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, etc.

“However, we consolidated our yearly turnover and our position in various markets,” he commented. Providing an overview of some of the recent product launches by the company, Cablini informed, “We launched two new products in 2021, the Geyser loop steamer and the Mistyk pad steamer. This year was the year of development of our new drier called K-Booster. The key of our success is our continuous research and development of new tools for finishing, always looking at the sustainability of the processes.” Pentek has been in the Indian market for around two decades now.

Sharing details regarding the importance of the Indian market to the company, Cablini stated: “The presence of PTM in the Indian market dates back to the beginning of this century. Through the years we have increased our presence with installation of various type of machines, starting from continuous tumblers, passing through washing ranges and recently installing our new Geyser steamer for after print. The Indian market is increasing its importance year by year in PTM’s development programmes and our goal is to let it become one of the three most important markets for us in a couple of years.”

Strong Bond

The company has had a fruitful relationship with Batliboi Limited, its partner for the Indian market for quite some time now. “Our cooperation started almost 10 years ago. We are very satisfied with this cooperation. Batliboi operates in the big Indian market with various offices located in various points of the country and gives us the certainty of covering the whole market area in a proper way. Thanks to the presence of reliable and experienced people, Batliboi provides good service in terms of sales and local support to customers,” Cablini said.

The company is gearing up to showcase its latest products at the India ITME 2022 trade show. “This edition of ITME is particularly important as it had earlier been postponed due to the pandemic and so we expect a large number of visitors now who will be looking forward to one-on-one interaction. We are going to participate with two Pentek Textile Machinery delegates in the big booth of our agent Batliboi. We are presenting for the first time officially to the Indian market our latest developments in terms of finishing machines like Geyser loop steamer and K-Booster drier in open width,” Cablini said.

Focus on Sustainability

The company’s products and technology have been helping its customers in achieving their sustainability goals. Speaking about the sustainability focus, Cablini observed: “We always have paid particular attention to the sustainability of manufacturing processes and of machines’ production processes as well. As an example, our new company building was built just four years ago with the latest green solutions like photovoltaic panels for our energy independence or the drastic reduction of plastic materials.”

“Every particular item was designed keeping in focus our aim to reduce the final footprint of our production department. Our machines are also developed to adopt the most modern and sustainable solutions to drastically reduce the use of gas, water, steam and electricity. Our technological department is constantly monitoring the performances of our machines to keep the consumption of utilities always under common standards while adopting technical and technological solutions that are in tune with the current international scenario,” he added.
