With the forthcoming ITMA 2023 being one of the highpoints at present, the team at Global Nanotech is understandably quite excited. In an exclusive interaction, the company’s Director Dr. Dhara Choksi said: “We have been manufacturing inkjet dispersions since 2014. The pandemic enabled us to expedite our research and product development of the complete inkjet product portfolio, including dye sublimation, DTG, DTF and UV inks and their concentrates. We mainly focus on water-based inks and dispersion.”

“Our competency lies in developing stable and compatible dispersions for all ink formulations irrespective of location, formulator’s preferences and additives. We have been a regular at FESPA events since inception but this year we will be participating in ITMA 2023. We will be showcasing our dispersions and inkjet inks this year. Our main objective in the show is to meet and acquire new customers as well as strengthen our business association with existing customers,” she added.

Highlighting the products that the company will be showcasing at the event, Dr. Choksi said: “This year we are more focused and want to highlight in ITMA our pigment dispersion for the textile and packaging industry as well as sublimation, DTG, DTF inks and other preparations for the textile sector. We are proud of having developed highly advanced and intrinsically developed dispersions for pigment and dye sublimation ink. Our products are priced in a way that will help ink formulators to create quality and economic inks which in turn will help the traditional textile industry to switch to digital printing at a much faster rate.”

Strengths and Vision

According to Dr. Choksi, the company’s main markets are Europe, the Middle East, South America, USA, Turkey and India while it is planning to expand its footprint to Bangladesh with a strategic joint production partnership. “We have two manufacturing units with a total capacity of 2,000+ tonnes of dispersions annually, empowered by state-of-the-art in-house laboratory to develop inkjet products,” she said, while elaborating about the company’s manufacturing infrastructure. Speaking about the importance of an event like ITMA, Dr. Choksi said: “Visitors at ITMA 2023 will be able to see our exclusive print and product performance of the ‘GLOJET’ series of different inks on a variety of substrates.”

“Exhibitions like ITMA provide a platform to design and develop products which are country and region-specific which in turn inspires us to develop and design market-inspired specific products. This flexibility and product development capabilities gives our customers and distributors the necessary confidence to serve their customers.” Going into details about how Global Nanotech’s products have an edge over the competing products, she shared: “We feel we have an edge over our competitors because of product quality and consistency which we have demonstrated all these year.”

“We are one of the few companies in the world which makes dispersions. And as far as we know, we are still the only dispersion manufacturer in India. Our guiding philosophy says it all: you need it, we formulate it. This is what keeps us growing and motivates us to provide customised and intrinsically researched and developed products to each ink formulator to create their custom inks. The dispersions manufactured under our umbrella signify higher reproducibility and stability. And while Global Nanotech believes in meeting business goals, we also adhere to the environment-friendly process of manufacturing by offering water-based dispersions,” Dr. Choksi said.
